Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
My name is Sophia Garcia, I am 12 years old. My medical history is significant for diagnosed craniopharyngioma in 2015, treated with partial resection followed by focal radiation therapy and chemotherapy. Medical history is also significant for unspecified visual field loss, and graphomotor weaknesses. Sophia has diagnosis of dyslexia, specific learning disability with impairments in mathematics and written language, and ADHD.
I most recently received hearing aids to help with my auditory processing. I take lots of medication everyday and injections at night to help me grow. I have a spunky, happy spirit. I won’t let anything keep me down.
