Artist Statement (include type of art, techniques & materials used, what it means to you)
The larger chicken, Nugget, is a well-worn stress ball that was not made by me! I included it for reference because the smaller chicken, Nuggie, is a replica I made of Nugget with polymer clay. I got Nugget at St Jude in Memphis, TN. She's so adorably wonky, and she helped me through lots of hard times.

Artist Bio: Tell Us Your Story
I have had two craniopharyngiomas, with one destroying my pituitary. My first one was diagnosed and removed when I was 5, and my second one when I was 9. I now have to take about a million pills every day to replace all my pituitary hormones, and a growth hormone shot weekly. Despite these challenges, I still live a happy and wonderful life. I have lots of friends and I love school!
