My Story
That's it- I have had enough! My dog sisters always get to promote helping homeless animals but yet they always ask for my help to add an extra dash of cuteness when need. I am taking a stand and taking over the computer to tell my story. My brothers and I were born on the streets. I, of course, is the brains and the looks of the group, sent my oldest brother out to scout out the area to see if we could find help for my little brother who was suffering a terrible cold. We were only a month old at that time but I still knew he needed help. I arranged transport and care of me and my brothers and we actually hit the jackpot since the human who found us brought us to the Animal Hospital of North Asheville and a staff member brought us home and cared for us. My plan was working like a charm. Not only we all get better, we had a cold too but we found our forever homes. I knew I was going to stay, I had them trained to all my wants and needs in no time at all.
Over the years I have learned that I was a born leader. I have trained many of dogs who have come into my home. But let me tell you that I am currently working on one that is hard headed- literally and figuratively. (she is in this contest too) Silly dog, she thinks she is a cat. She mimics all my moves. She thinks she is graceful as us cats. I think I hear her when no one is around trying to "meow". As if a dog could be as cool and smart as a cat. Hah!
Back to my story. As many cats know, humans need help all the time. They do not know when it is time to eat. When it is time to get up. When it is time to relax and chill in one spot. They are still learning about personal space issues and when it is ok to pet someone and when it is not. They do not even have the slightest idea of how to read minds. Geez! We protect them from the invisible creatures that lurk in the house. We even show them the way to run to get away from them. If it was not for us, how would they sleep at night and stay warm? There are so many things we do for our humans that they do not even realize.
So I am for your help by donating to the Asheville Humane Society to help save cats lives (you can help save dogs' lives too). Humans need cats to help them live their lives to the fullest. Donate today!
