Submissions open at 9am ACST Thursday February 1 2024 and close at 4pm ACST Thursday February 15 2024. Submissions must be in digital format and submitted online via the official entry form. Submissions that do not meet the entry deadline will not be accepted. All entries will be viewed and approved by Animal Welfare League SA, who reserves the right to refuse any entry based upon the contents of the image or story. Each entry costs a $10 donation to Animal Welfare League SA. Animal Welfare League SA reserves the right to reject any entry based on the contents of the image or story.

Voting opens at 4:01pm Thursday 15 February 2024 and closes at 5:00pm Thursday February 29 2024. Each vote costs a $2 donation to Animal Welfare League SA. Competition winners for each category and the overall competition winner will be determined based on the number of votes received. In the event of a tie, Animal Welfare League SA will choose the winning entries based on the story and image provided. Winners will be notified via email on Friday 1 March 2024. The overall competition winner will receive a Studio Pet Photography Session at Photographyroom and a photography credit of $1,550. The winner of each category will also receive a $50 voucher to PETstock to reward their star quality with toys, treats and anything else their little hearts desire!

As one of South Australia’s oldest and largest animal shelters, Animal Welfare League takes in over 4,000 lost and abandoned animals every year. The generosity of compassionate animal lovers in the community provides these animals with shelter, food, vet care and love, meaning AWL can rehabilitate and rehome them to loving families where they can live out their days as a beloved family pet. We are bolstered by the community’s support of our pet cremations and pet boarding facilities, as well as our op shops where animal lovers can shop for a bargain on pre-loved items.
