My mum got our dog Albie from Guardian Angel Animal Rescue group, he was a stray dog in Yalata. She only had him for 6 years before he developed a cancerous tumour. I started painting this portrait of him when I was 19 and he was nearing the end of his life. It's one of my few completed works, and one I'm most pleased with ! My mum replaced the photo I worked off with his portrait because she said this looks more like him than the photo does ! Mum said she looks at this portrait every day.
