7th Annual Calendar Photo Contest

Welcome to our 7^th Annual Barks and Meows Rescue Photo Fundraiser Contest!

Here is your chance to have your showcase your fur baby like never before. How would you love to see them featured in our calendar, so others can see just how cute they really are? Instead of 15 minutes of fame, your fur kids will have a chance to have 365 days of fame!!

Well all you have to do to enter, is to take submit a photo of your pet that you believe is just the most adorable one you have ever seen. Be sure to add a little blurb letting people know why they should vote for your pet to be featured in the 2027 Barks and Meows Rescue Calendar Photo Fundraiser. The contest, should you choose to enter, starts at noon (12:00 PM Eastern Time) on Saturday, August 1, 2026 and ends at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, November 8, 2026. The cost to enter is $5.00 per photo. In order to vote for your photo, the cost to the public will be $1.00 per vote. This is where sharing with your family, colleagues and friends will come in handy. Check out our prizes and rules:

The 2027 Barks and Meows Rescue Photo Fundraiser Contest will end at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, November 8, 2026. We will reveal the winners on November 8.

Rules

All ages of dog and cat photos accepted
Participants must be Ontario residents. Voters are welcome from outside of Ontario and Canada
Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated.
The cost to submit a photo to the contest is $5.00 per entry.
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Barks and Meows Rescue. They must be a Rescue dog or cat, having come from a Shelter, Rescue Organization or Owner Surrender
Photos may be of more than one pet, if they are all Rescues
Photos must not have any people or wildlife in them
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
Photos must be in landscape(horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
Photos must be in full-color, no heavily filtered , edited or altered photos
Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar
Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene by Barks and Meows Rescue, will be removed from the contest
Photos must receive at least 10 votes to be included in the 2026 calendar in some form or fashion
Contest begins noon (12:00 PM Eastern Time) on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
All online photo entries must be submitted by 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, November 8, 2026
Winners will be announced on November 8, 2026
All photos submitted become the property of Barks and Meows Rescue
