5th Annual Calendar Photo Contest

Welcome to our 5^th Annual Barks and Meows Rescue Photo Fundraiser Contest!

Here is your chance to have your showcase your fur baby like never before. How would you love to see them featured in our calendar, so others can see just how cute they really are? Instead of 15 minutes of fame, your fur kids will have a chance to have 365 days of fame!!

Well all you have to do to enter, is to take submit a photo of your pet that you believe is just the most adorable one you have ever seen. Be sure to add a little blurb letting people know why they should vote for your pet to be featured in the 2025 Barks and Meows Rescue Calendar Photo Fundraiser. The contest, should you choose to enter, starts at 12:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, July 29, 2024 and ends at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024. The cost to enter is $5.00 per photo. In order to vote for your photo, the cost to the public will be $1.00 per vote. This is where sharing with your family, colleagues and friends will come in handy. Check out our prizes and rules:

The 2025 Barks and Meows Rescue Photo Fundraiser Contest will end at 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024. We will reveal the winners on November 1.

First Prize is your pet's photo featured on the cover of our 2025 Calendar and a pair of Jean Shorts made with Rescue Denim donated by Maid for Mutts. Also included in this prize package is a $200 Amazon Gift Card donated by Expedia Cruises in Brantford.
Second Prize is your pet's photo featured on any month of your choice on our 2024 Calendar, and an item made and donated by Maid for Mutts. Also 1 large Snuffle mat, donated and made by Maid for Mutts. Additionaly, Puppy Gift Basket made and donated by Heavenly Hills Animal Sanctuary.
Third Prize is a free mini session photo shoot with the wonderful Melissa Caron, of Melissa Caron Photography, to take place at one of Melissa's pre-determined setups in Chatham, Ontario. This certificate is open for the year and you will need to book it a.s.a.p. as the spots fill up fast. Also 1 Boo Boo Bag and 1 Hot/Cold pack, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Fourth Prize is a photo shoot with the fabulous Erin Woodgate of Woodgate photography in the London area. Also one medium Dog Bucket hat, ‘[donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Fifth Prize is $100 Mystery Gift Box with all handmade, award winning skincare, including, soaps, body butters, tub tea, organic soy wax candle, bath bombs and so much more (made and donated by Juliet & Co). Also 1 large Snuffle blanket, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Sixth Prize is a handmade sign and made by Signs by Tori. Also 1 Boo Boo Bag donated, and made by Maid for Mutts.
Seventh Prize 4 Stained Glass "Pot Paws" for your potted plants made with love by adopter Nicole Gorham-Elder. Also 4 homemade key chains, donated by a post office employee and 1 Hot/Cold Pack, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Eight Price is a copy of CJ Frederick's(Harper the Hero Hound's adopter), novel "Rooted and Remembered". Also 4 knotted headbands, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Ninth Prize is a Yeti dog bowl/food mat (donated by Nancy Dunlop). Also 4 knotted headbands, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Tenth Prize is a dog bed and Kong chew toy (donated by Nancy Dunlop). Also 6 Dog Bandanas, donated and made by Maid for Mutts.
Eleventh Prize includes a tumbler with a dog graphic, tote, keychain and matching pen (donated and made by adopter and owner of "Striking Designs") and a $75 Gift Certificate for any venue at The Mom Market in London.
Twelvth Prize are Two tickets for the 2025 season for the Delaware Speedway and a signed hero card and T-shirt from JRD Motosports, donated by JRD Motorsports
Thirteenth Prize are Oskosh Overalls with Rescued Denim for 18-24 mos child, 2 reversible scrub caps, 2 dog buttons, 2 Puppy pouches, all donated and made by Maid for Mutts.

All photo entries with 10 votes or more are GUARANTEED inclusion in the calendar on the collage page.

Rules

All ages of dog and cat photos accepted
Participants must be Ontario residents. Voters are welcome from outside of Ontario and Canada
Donations made in support of an animal are valued at one vote for every $1.00 donated.
The cost to submit a photo to the contest is $5.00 per entry.
Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from Barks and Meows Rescue. They must be a Rescue dog or cat, having come from a Shelter, Rescue Organization or Owner Surrender
Photos may be of more than one pet, if they are all Rescues
Photos must not have any people or wildlife in them
Photos must be high-resolution (300 dpi or greater) to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
Photos must be in landscape(horizontal) format to be considered for a month spread in the calendar
Photos must be in full-color, no heavily filtered , edited or altered photos
Photos with professional photographer watermarks will not be eligible to be included in the calendar
Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene by Barks and Meows Rescue, will be removed from the contest
Photos must receive at least 10 votes to be included in the 2024 calendar in some form or fashion
Contest begins 12:00:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Monday, July 29, 2024.
All online photo entries must be submitted by 11:59:59 PM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, October 31, 2024
Winners will be announced on November 1, 2024
