Pet's Story or Bio
My name is Harper, but I'm known as "Harper the Hero Hound" to my Facebook followers and family. Wanna know why? It's because I am a loving and wonderful hound dog (full of music and fun) that Barks and Meows rescued in 2021. My body jiggles and wriggles with excitement upon meeting new people and greeting old friends (like Dennis). I honestly cannot wait to brighten someone's day with a bit of a tail wag and a baroo. Had a bad day? Let me lift you. Had a sad day? Let me make you laugh. Angry? Impossible when you're around a hound.

But, life wasn't always rosy for me. I was found wandering rural Kentucky with a serious leg wound. The kind people at the pound discovered that I had buckshot (shrapnel) in my front leg and it had broken my bone. I had to spend months in a cast and then a splint, and then I had to stay "quiet" for months even after the splint came off (You have no idea how hard that was because I like to motor). I'm a medical miracle! I moved in with my new family in 2021 and I've never looked back. I only look forward. My brown eyes will tempt you to feed me as much dried liver as you can until you have none left.
