Chelsea is a 9 year old rescue Miniature Austrian Shepherd who has been with us for 6 years. When we agreed to get another dog we wanted to avoid puppy years and decided to adopt. We both wanted a smart dog and my husband wanted a dog with a bushy tail. After many months of looking “I” decided on a Mini and had to convince my husband because she lacked a bushy tail. Found her on the internet and fell in love with her - only problem she was in Allen, TX and we were in Houston - another hurtle I had to face. I won out. I think she sensed her lack of a bushy tail and it took a while to warm up to my husband. We got a very smart dog and she goes to my husband’s side of the bed every night to say good night to him.
