Welcome to the 3rd Annual Bastrop County Animal Shelter Photo Contest and 2018 Calendar Fundraiser!
The Photo Contest Fundraiser is an exciting way to celebrate your pet while helping BCAS's shelter pets who are eagerly waiting for a home of their own.
It might not seem like a $1 vote will go very far at the shelter!
A dollar can do a lot for a homeless pet, so encourage your friends and family to vote for your photos and you could win a prize. Plus the more votes you get the more the shelter animals win! Top three pets with the most votes win one of these special prizes!!
Grand Prize
- The top vote recipient will win the coveted calendar cover photo and featured on the month of their choice
- A studio session for your pet or pet and owner(s) with professional photographer, Shane Cook. This includes a digital studio photo of your choice. This prize is valued at $245!

Second Place Prize
- Photo will be featured on the month of their choice from the remaining 11 months not chosen by Grand Prize winner
- 12x12 Print of your pet by digital artist, Nicki Allen, valued at $150!

Third Place Prize
- Photo will be featured on the month of their choice, from the remaining 10 months not chosen by 1st and 2nd place winners

Fourth through Eighth Place Prize
4th thru 8th place, will appear as a Pet of the Month at BCAS's discretion.
Ninth through Twelfth Place Prize
The last four months will be chosen by BCAS based solely on PHOTO so as to give everyone a chance.

Reserve A Day To Honor Your Pet!
Want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. For example, a special day shared between you and your pet or honor your birthday or your pet's birthday...how about adoption anniversary? Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! All pets welcome on calendar days! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available. Each day is $15.
