Hunter was kept outside and tied in a yard for over a year. His owners would not relinquish him to the animal control even after many complaints. He lost most of his coat and had tumors and skin infections on his head and face. Because of fleas and yeast, he scratched himself raw and bloody. His owners moved and he was finally rescued and sent to Bideawee. I was fortunate to be on their list to adopt a basset hound and they called me about Hunter. It was love at first sight though it took several months of visits to the veterinarian to fix him. He now has all his hair, no tumors and smells as good as a basset can smell. :-))
