This contest is open to anyone. Your photo entry does not have to be of a BRBR rescue. We love all basset hounds and welcome entries from all basset hound owners.
At least 13 winners will be selected for the calendar; some months may also feature more than one dog. We will also be selecting one “Judge’s Choice” winner this year, based on photo appeal, regardless of the number of votes. Your dog has a chance to be in the calendar regardless of votes.
We will also be giving weekly prizes to the dog who earns the most votes in any given week prior to the end of the contest.
To Enter:
You must submit a photo of your dog(s) and include:
- Name of Dog
- Your Name
- Your City and State
- A paragraph that tells voters something fun or interesting about the dog in the photo. Is this a Belly Rubs dog? If so, how long has he or she been a part of your family? Can you share something special that we could include on our calendar if your photo wins?
All photos must be uploaded. Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies.
There are suggested donation amounts for entering your dog in the contest.
Each vote thereafter will be $1. Each $1 donation counts as a vote for that photo.
There are multiple spots available to win; some months will feature more than one dog.
The Rules
You can have more than one pet in your photo, but no humans, please.
All photos must be uploaded. Sorry, we cannot accept hard copies.
Photos must be high resolution for printing, because we want your pup’s picture to be sharp. To do that, we need 300 dpi, with a size of 12” x 9,” or 3,650 pixels by 2,740 pixels to be on the covers or to be a dog of the month. If you’re buying a day for your dog, we can take smaller photos.
The dog who gets the most votes will be featured on the cover of the calendar. There are multiple spots available to win; some months will feature more than one dog.
One dog will be selected as “Judge’s Choice” for inclusion, regardless of votes, so every dog has an opportunity to make it!
