Rules

Upload your favourite Football photo of yourself. It could be an action shot or portrait. You must own the photo yourself or have permission or consent to use the photo.  Only one photo per player!

Voting will be available through a link on our website and social media platforms and provided to you in an email sent to the email address stated in your Registration Form.

You will be able to increase the chances of your photo winning by encouraging your friends, family, and teachers to vote for your photo. Votes will be $1 donation per vote with a minimum of $5 per transaction, and your friends and family may vote as often as they wish.

The voting portion of the contest will commence at 9:00 AM (PST) Saturday, Oct 15, 2022, through to Saturday, Oct 22, 2022, 5:00 PM ("Voting Period")

All donations for the Voting Period are non-refundable. Voting transactions are made online through a secure site. A donation receipt will not be available.

To enter The Belmont Bulldogs Magazine Cover Contest, you must submit a high-quality (hi-res) photo in your football gear that you have permission or consent to use by Oct 14 at 10:00 pm (pst) at the latest. This photo will be used in the Belmont Bulldogs Magazine and could potentially be the winning cover photo. If you don’t have a photo to submit, let Hudson Poppitt on your team know and we can have someone take your photo.

Any Belmont Bulldog Player, either Junior Varsity or Varsity, for the current 2022 Football Season.

First Place - Will receive the coveted Cover of the first ever Belmont Bulldogs Illustrated Magazine of their submitted football photo.

Second Place - Will receive a full two-page spread in the centre of the magazine of their submitted football photo.

Third Place - Will receive the back page cover spot of their submitted football photo.

MYSTERY PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED TO ENDING CONTEST POSITIONS #4, #10, #15 AND #25

All other entries will receive a single full page in the magazine featuring their football photo.

They will be available for purchase during the contest and 1 week after the contest before they go to print. The cost of the magazine is $20 ea. You must pre-order to receive a magazine, as we will print only what is ordered. All sales proceeds after production costs will go to Belmont Bulldogs Football Team. When they are ready, they will be available for pick up on select days at Belmont Secondary School. You will receive an email if you have ordered a magazine when that date and time will be.

Winners will be based on the number of votes each photograph receives during the Voting Period ("Winner").
Should there be a tie, we will have a 4-hour contest extension to find our winner.

The Winners will be announced shortly after the contest closes on October 22 at 5:00 PM (PST)

By accepting a prize, the Winner consents to the use of his or her name, likeness, voice, biographical information and/or their Football portrait and biographical information for promotional and other purposes related to The Belmont Bulldog Magazine Cover Contest without compensation.

The Winner, by acceptance of any prize, acknowledges compliance with these Rules and agrees to release The Belmont Bulldogs, School District 62, Belmont Secondary School and any, representatives, and agents ("Releasees") from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in Magazine Cover Contest or the receipt, redemption, or use of any prize, including any injuries or damages of any kind sustained in connection with the use, acceptance, possession, or awarding of any prize.

By entering The Belmont Bulldogs Magazine Cover Contest, you agree to grant The Belmont Bulldog Magazine Cover Contest, their legal representatives, successors, and assigns the nonexclusive right and permission to use, modify, adapt, reproduce, publish, and distribute your entry, or any portion thereof, including your football portrait, in print to create a magazine featuring each player’s portrait who has entered the contest. Should you wish to remove your entry or photograph from the contest, please contact Hudson at magazinecovercontest@gmail.com.

All proceeds will be donated to Belmont Bulldogs Football Team after the contest and credit card processing fees are taken.  

If, for any reason, The Belmont Bulldogs Cover Contest is not capable of running as planned for any reason including infection by computer viruses, bugs, or tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, actions of entrants, technical failures, or any other causes corrupt or infect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of the 2022 Cover Contest we reserve the right at their sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the 2022 Cover Contest.

This contest is not affiliated in any way with Belmont Senior Secondary School or School District 62, nor are they liable for any reason.

By entering this contest, you agree to certain legal conditions stated in this document as already stated above and further clarified below.

References to "EF" shall include: The Belmont Bulldogs Cover Contest, and its affiliates, and officers, directors, employees, independent contractors, representatives, and agents ("Releasees")

By entering, participants agree to protect, indemnify, defend and hold harmless EF, its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, directors, officers, employees, attorneys, and agents from any and all third party liability for any and all liabilities and expenses (including without limitation, fees of attorneys, investigators and experts) injuries, loss, claim, action, demand, or damage of any kind which may be asserted against, imposed upon or incurred from or in connection with the competition (collectively, "Losses"), including without limitation any third party claim for copyright infringement or a violation of an individual's right to privacy and/or publicity right. The Contest is void where prohibited by law.

Each entrant in the Contest ("Entrant") is responsible for ensuring that he or she has the right to submit the photos that he or she submits to the Contest per these rules.

You, as Entrant or site user/visitor, agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved with EF and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, before a court of competent jurisdiction located in Victoria Canada, which court shall apply the laws of British Columbia without regard for rules of conflicts of law. IN ANY SUCH DISPUTE, THE PARTICIPANT SHALL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ATTORNEYS' FEES OR ANY DAMAGES OTHER THAN THE PARTICIPANT'S ACTUAL OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES (IF ANY) ASSOCIATED WITH PARTICIPATING IN THE CONTEST. YOU SPECIFICALLY AGREE THAT THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ANY MONIES AWARDED TO YOU CAN NOT EXCEED THE ENTRY FEE(s) OR VOTING FEE(s) PAID BY YOU. YOU HEREBY WAIVE ANY RIGHTS TO HAVE DAMAGES MULTIPLIED OR INCREASED. The Contest and EF's website are provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, either express or implied. EF is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the photo competition, or by any technical or human error that may occur in the processing of submissions to the photo competition, including but not limited to any misprints or typographical errors. EF assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries.

EF is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any communication network or lines, computer equipment, servers, providers, computer online systems, software, or failure of email on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, including injury or damage to participant's or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating or uploading images or information in the photo contest.
