Each vote is $1. Contest entry is only $20 and includes 20 votes! Every dollar makes a difference in the lives of homeless animals. Once you submit your entry and it is approved, you can share it with your family and friends and encourage them to vote once voting begins!

The top 15 dogs in the donate-to-vote portion will move on to our Best In Rescue LIVE event taking place on August 17th from 11am-2pm at Pilot Project Brewing in Chicago for their chance to be awarded TOP Dog.

Winning dog at Best in Rescue LIVE will win a weekend getaway at a home in Saugatuck, Michigan and a complimentary outdoor session, along with print credit and a 5x7 fine art print (courtesy of Kimberly Kingen Photography!)

- ONLY photos of dogs, cats, and other creatures are accepted
- Your pet does NOT have to be adopted from ALIVE Rescue to enter the contest, but MUST be a rescue animal
- Photos can NOT contain more than one rescue animal
- Photos can NOT be a collage of photos
- Photos must be high-resolution
- Photos must only contain the rescue animal (no people or wildlife in the photo)
- Photos must be full-color, no heavily filtered, edited or altered photos
- Photos deemed offensive, indecent or obscene will be removed from the contest
- All entries are subject to review, editing, and removal by ALIVE Rescue
- Entries must be submitted by the owner of the pet, or with permission of the owner. If the photo was taken by someone other than the owner, permission must be granted from the person who owns the photo. It is the responsibility of the person submitting the photo to make sure that permissions are in place.
