Rules

Entries:

Each entry is $5
Limit of one pet per photo entry. People are not allowed in photos, only your pet. Abby Mook Moreno of Paws Fur Joy Photography will contact the entrants to change the photo if there are more than one pet in the photo. There will be no opportunity for a refund.
Only one pet per entry. If you have two pets they will each need a separate photo and entry fee.
Animals eligible to enter: dogs and cats
All photos must be uploaded; we cannot accept printed photos. We cannot accept any copyrighted or professional photos.
The Submissions Period starts on Monday February 6, 2023 at 7AM and ends on MONDAY MARCH 20, 2023 at 9:00 PM.
You may submit your photo entry at any time during the voting period. However, the earlier you submit your entry, the more time you have to get votes!
Contest entry fees are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
Any photograph that includes content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent, or obscene, as determined by Paws Fur Joy Photography its sole discretion, will be removed from the contest with no opportunity for a refund.
Posting more than one photo of your pet does not increase the chances of winning. The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entries that receive the most votes. The same pet can only win once. Attempts to win two spots in the calendar by the same pet will not be permitted.
By entering you are agreeing to receive email reminders of any contest promos from Abby Moreno of Paws Fur Joy Photography. After the contest ends you will have the option to opt in to Paws Fur Joy Photography's regular email list or to no longer receive emails.

Voting:

Each VOTE DONATION of $1 counts as one (1) vote.
All donations from voting are non-refundable. Entries and donations must be made via the online contest page. Contest payments online are through a secure site.
Contest votes are tax deductible. The email acknowledgment to your online donation serves as your tax receipt.
All winners will be determined by electronic vote tabulations under the supervision of gogophotocontest.com whose decisions are final and binding.
The Voting Period starts on Monday February 6, 2023 at 7AMand ends on MONDAY MARCH 20, 2023 at 9:00 PM.
Voting Promos- Throughout the contest there will be special days designated as voting promos. The promotions will vary. For example there may be a voting promotion where if you purchase 10 votes you will get 10 for free. You will be notified about the promos through emails and they will also be posted the day of on social media for Best Friend Pet Adoption and Abby Mook Moreno: (@pawsfurjoyphoto) Instagram and Facebook.
You will not know ahead of time when a promotion will be. If you miss a promotion it cannot be applied after it expires.

Calendar Photo Session:

The top 13 vote getters will win a professional on-location photo session by Paws Fur Joy Photography at a pre-selected location in the Triangle area during May 2023 and June 2023.
If you are unable to commit to a photo session during those times or find yourself unable to travel to these pre-selected locations, you forfeit your winning and the next top vote getter will take your pet's spot in the calendar, no exceptions.
The top vote recipient will win the coveted cover photo for the 2024 calendar. The following 12 recipients with the most votes will be eligible to have their pet featured as a pet of the month. Each winner will receive a digital file of the chosen image. The 2024 calendars will be purchased separately.
The photographer, of Paws Fur Joy Photography, will choose the best image of the pets to be used in the calendar as well as which month that image will appear.
Winners will receive an email with a deadline by which you need to accept or decline your calendar spot. You will be sent a reminder email the day prior to the deadline. If you do not respond by the deadline then your spot will be offered to the next pet in line. No exceptions.

Weekly Mini-Contests:

The pet receiving the highest number of new votes each week contest will win a mini-contest prize from one of the participating businesses. The start and end time for the mini contest will be announced on social media.
In the event of a tie, a random computerized draw will be held between the highest vote getters of the week to determine that week's winner.
In the event that there are no new votes for that week, a random computerized drawing will be held for all eligible pets.
Certain individual business restrictions and limitations may apply and may vary by business. Paws Fur Joy Photography is not responsible for these restrictions and eligibility requirements as determined by each business.

Eligibility:

The contest is open to any dog or cat in the Triangle.
Dogs don't have to be alumni from BFPA, and don't have to be a rescue.
You must be 18 years or older to submit an entry or have permission from a legal guardian.

The Fine Print:

By submitting a photo entry, you warrant and represent that your entry is your own original work created by you and that you own or otherwise control all of the rights to your entry materials. If you submit an entry that is copyrighted by another individual, you are responsible for any legal action the copyright holder takes against you.
2024 Calendars will be available to the general public for purchase starting October 2024
Every effort will be made to include the pet's bio in the winning month. However, depending on space constraints part of the bio may be omitted from the final calendar.
By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release and hold harmless Best Friend Pet Adoption and Paws Fur Joy Photography and each of their respective officers, directors, representatives, volunteers and agents (the Released Parties) from and against any claims of any nature arising out of participation in the Contest or receipt or use of any prize.
