Your Pet's Story or Bio
Akiak is a 4 year old Siberian Husky.  We were looking at adding a new dog to our family when we heard about a white husky being available. We went  to see her and found her living in an unsafe environment and knew we could not leave her there. She was dirty and covered in fleas and had worms. She was trembling and appeared fearful of the people around her. She would scream when they tried to grab her.  I had never heard a dog scream before.  We immediately agreed to take her and as soon as we removed her from the property her whole demeanor changed. She is now a beautiful and happy girl as you can see from the picture. She is so full of love and happily runs her pack of 2 younger huskies. We gave her the name Akiak as it means brave in Inuit.
