Your Pet's Story or Bio
This is "Bam", my Bernese Boy. Bam was my special boy, 150 lbs, a "Tank" and loved more than I can express. But Bam had a talent that, quite literally saved my life. You know how some people need "Therapy Dogs" that specialize in diabetes, seizures and such? Well, Bam had the ability to sense when I would be going into a bad heart rhythm. Once, while out on a walk, I developed chest pain and dysrhythmia, and was unable to walk. No phone available, and no one outside to see me, I basically laid myself over Bams' back, and whispered the command "Home. Home Bammie. Get Momma home." I whispered it because I didn't have enough breath or energy to even speak in a normal voice. He proceeded to walk with me, draped over his back, to our home down the road, even making sure I got up the four steps to get us both inside. He didn't leave me until he was sure my Husband had me under his care. Then he laid at my feet, just to make sure. He was a once-in-a-lifetime boy, and will live forever in my heart. He passed away on July15th, this year. He was only 5 years old. He lives on with a glorious climbing rose planted in his honor and memory. But trying to quantify how much he missed? No words have been invented yet that are appropriate. Our "Bam Bam" boy.
