The cost is $25 (non-refundable) to submit one picture to enter the contest AND to receive a 2027 BCR Calendar.

If your pet does not win the coveted spot in the calendar, you'll still get a terrific calendar and help the rescue! BCR calendars will be mailed in the late fall/early winter and make great holiday gifts.    

Grand prize: The winning pet will be on the inside cover page of BCR's 2027 collectible calendar and will receive a prize package that includes  5 extra calendars, a collectible 2026 Christmas ornament, and a BCR T-shirt.    All postage/handling is paid by Blind Cat Rescue.

First Runner Up, Second Place & Third Place will have their pictures included in the calendar but not featured on a page by themselves. They will also receive a 2026 ornament and 2 extra calendars.

All contest entries will receive a calendar and will be included in a collage picture in the calendar.

Eligibility: Participation is open to all countries, US and abroad. Void where prohibited, taxed or restricted by law. Officers, employees, and board members or directors of Blind Cat Rescue and their immediate families (parents, children, siblings, spouse) or members of the same household (whether related or not) of such officers/employees/directors are not eligible to enter the contest.

Notification: If winners cannot be contacted, or in the event of non-compliance with these Fundraiser rules and requirements, the prize will be forfeited and an alternate winner will be selected. Upon prize forfeiture, no compensation will be given. Limit one (1) prize per person or household.

1. General: As a condition to receiving any prize, winners will be required to execute an assignment transferring and assigning all of their respective rights, title and interest, including but not limited to any copyrights or trademarks, in the Photo to Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, known as Sponsor, without further compensation or permission. By entering, entrants agree to transfer and assign all of their respective rights, title and interest, including but not limited to any copyrights or trademarks, in their Entries to Sponsor, without further compensation or permission. By entering, entrants agree to the use of their names, likenesses, biographical information, and Entries (including but not limited to the Photo) for purposes of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. Additionally, by participating in this Fundraiser, or by accepting a prize, all participants agree to release the Sponsor from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost, or expense whatsoever that may occur in connection with, preparation for, or participation in Fundraiser, or possession, acceptance and/or use or misuse of prize or participation in any Fundraiser-related activity and claims based on publicity rights, copyright/trademark infringement, intellectual property rights, defamation or invasion of privacy and merchandise delivery. Neither the Sponsor nor their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies, divisions or related companies are responsible for any damages, taxes, or expenses that winners might incur as a result of this Fundraiser or receipt of the prize. All taxes are the sole responsibility of the winners.
   
   
2. Additional Terms. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Fundraiser should (in its sole discretion) viruses, bugs, non-authorized human intervention, fraud, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Fundraiser. In such case, Sponsor will select the winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by the Sponsor. Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Fundraiser or website.
   
   CAUTION: ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE FUNDRAISER MAY BE A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
   
   
3. Use of Data. By participating in the Fundraiser, entrants hereby agree to the Sponsor's collection and usage of their personal information and acknowledge that they have read and accepted the Sponsor's privacy policy.

Blind Cat Rescue & Sanctuary, Inc., (BCR) was founded in 2005 by mother-daughter shelter volunteers who wanted to save the cats that shelters reject - blind cats and those who test positive for FIV or feline leukemia (FeLV) - who are immediately euthanized in animal control facilities in many states. Without BCR, they would not be alive to demonstrate to a global audience every day that they deserve to live.

Using social media, 24-hour access cameras, open houses, tours, and volunteer opportunities, BCR uses its strong platform to educate people and other organizations about the true abilities of blind cats and those positive for FIV or FeLV.

BCR also supports a neighborhood spay/neuter program working to fix 2,500 cats in 2026, targeting managed colonies.  This effort will prevent more than 10,000 homeless kittens from being born, living in harm’s way, and reproducing.
