Contest Entry
- A $10 entry donation is required to submit your pet’s photo into the contest. This fee will be added to the overall donations generated during the contest time. Please note that donations under $25 do not receive a tax receipt.
- Each vote costs $1, and a minimum of five (5) votes must be purchased at a time.
- Photos must be submitted online, and participants are limited to one photo per entry. Only ONE PET per entry is permitted. You may submit multiple pets for consideration as long as each is entered with a separate fee.
- When submitting your photo & caption please ensure that the content is appropriate. Any material that does not comply with the Brant County SPCA standards will be removed from the contest.
- The contest website will be accepting entries and votes from 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 until 10:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, August 6, 2026.
- Entries do not have to be Brant County SPCA Alumni to participate.
- Brant County SPCA employees, board members and volunteers are permitted to participate either by submitting a pet or voting
- If the results end in a tie, the participant who submitted their entry first will be selected.
- Please only submit animals who are comfortable in front of people & cameras. If you have any questions or concerns about your pet’s participation in the photoshoot, please email lstengel@brantcountyspca.com
If your pet is selected as one of our 12 winners, you are required to physically bring your pet to a photoshoot mid-August (location will be in Brantford but is currently TBD).
Photo Requirements
- Submitted photos must include one (1) animal who is the focus of the photo.
- No identifying images of people, places or brands are permitted.
- Please only submit current photos of your owned pets. If you are submitting on behalf of someone else, please secure written permission to do so.
- All photographs must be digital, no mailed photos will be accepted.
Entries that showcase their pet outside must include:
- Dogs and Cats must be shown in a safe and suitable environment.
- Domestic birds must be shown indoors only.
Please note: The Brant County SPCA reserves the right to disqualify the image at any time if deemed unsuitable. By submitting a photo in the Brant County SPCA 2027 Calendar Contest, the owner of the photos agrees to give and grant The Brant County SPCA, unlimited authorization, consent, and permission to publish and use any and all information provided about the animal along with the images in any and all future marketing or printing purposes.
Contest Voting
- Donations of $25.00 or more will receive a full tax receipt post-event if requested. In order to receive a tax receipt you will have to provide us with your full name, address, and email.
- All donations to the photo contest are final.
- All votes must be applied to selected photos by the conclusion of the voting period (10:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Thursday, August 6, 2026) to be counted.
- You may vote for your own entry and online voting will begin as soon as the photo is fully registered.
- An email address is required to make an online donation so a receipt of payment can be sent to the donor.
