My Story
Betty White was not going to make it out of animal control until a wonderful staff member contacted BROOD. Thanks to BROOD, she had a tumor removed and a second chance at life. When this sweet beagle/basset mix came to BROOD with a severe case of heartworms, he and Betty acted like they'd known each other their whole lives. BROOD leaders renamed him Allen, Betty's better half. Though both were intially given very guarded prognosis, their love for each other and their desire to live their best lives (with homemade pumpkin cookies) prevailed. And their foster family failed, um...adopted them. Now they go for sniffaris on trails, say hello to the deer on walks, take long naps on comfortable couches, and get all of the belly rubs and kisses they could ever want. Thank you, BROOD, for rescuing these two most perfect basset mixes.
