Welcome to the Basset Rescue of Old Dominion (BROOD) 2024 Calendar Contest. We are excited to use GOGO Photo Contest for the contest again this year. Please review the RULES PAGE for important information. Some rules have changed this year.
The top 12 dogs will each be featured as the main photo for one of the 12 months in the 2024 BROOD calendar. The top 12 dogs will also be featured on the desk and wall calendar covers.
The top 3 dogs will receive additional special prizes and the top vote recipient can pick the month their pet is featured. Check out the Prizes page for more information.
Entries with 35 or more votes at the end of the contest that are not monthly winners will have thumbnail size photos placed throughout the calendar.
Submit your dog’s photo on this page starting March 1 thru April 15. Voting by the public begins April 1 and ends June 5 at 10 pm Eastern.
All dogs adopted from BROOD are eligible to be entered in the contest. We also accept entries of bassets and basset mixes not adopted from BROOD.
Tell your pet’s story when submitting your photo so that supporters can get to know your best friend. Be sure to encourage your family and friends to vote early and often.
IMPORTANT PHOTO REQUIREMENT: Photos must be landscape orientation (the photo is wider than it is tall). Photos in portrait orientation (taller than it is wide) will not be accepted for the contest.
NOTE: You must create an account to submit photos for the contest and vote in the contest. Payment accepted is credit and debit cards. Checks are not accepted.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet
Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Don't want to participate in the Contest Voting? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! Each date is a $25 donation. Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.
