Rules

Submitting a photo to be included in San Diego House Rabbit Society's Bunnyfest 2018 Photo Contest is free. You may submit as many photographs as you like, in as many of the four categories as you like.

To submit photos online, from the menu, click on PARTICIPATE - ENTER CONTEST and follow the directions to upload a photograph of your pet. Online entries must be received by September 20, 2018 11:59:59 PM PDT.

All photos become the property of San Diego House Rabbit Society.

• Acceptable photo formats are .jpg, .bmp, .png, and .tif
• Photos may contain one or more rabbits
• Photos must:
  • be in color or black and white
  • depict a specific category as defined below
  • be stills, not live pictures or video clips

Photographs of people or content that is deemed inappropriate, indecent or obscene; for example, rabbits fully or partially clothed (hats, scarves and harnesses are okay), in water or depicted in a stressful situation as determined by the staff of San Diego House Rabbit Society will be removed immediately without warning.

Photographs may not be edited or altered (other than minor color, contrast, or sharpness adjustments).

Photographs must either feature rabbits owned by the entrant, OR the entrant must have permission from the rabbit's owner to submit their rabbit's image.


You may submit photos for the following four categories:

1. Lazy Bunz
   Is napping your bunny's favorite pastime? Show us a picture of your lazy bun taking a siesta!
   
   
2. Poser
   Does the camera love your bunny? Show us your bunny's best supermodel pose!
   
   
3. Hay Monster
   Is your bunny super messy when it comes to hay? Does your bunny love to scatter hay everywhere, sit on the hay rack, burrow under hay, etc.? If so, show us pictures of your little hay monster!
   
   
4. Bunny Bestie
   Does your bunny love hanging out with the family cat? Or do you have a bonded pair, trio, etc.? Show us your bunny with his/her best friend! Note: humans can be a bunny bestie, too!

Once a photo is submitted, it will appear in the online gallery on the San Diego House Rabbit Society Bunnyfest 2018 website, and the photo will be open to voting by the general public. Votes are $1 each, with no minimum.

All votes for photo submissions will be tabulated and displayed online.

To vote online, from the menu, click on PARTICIPATE – VIEW ENTRIES/VOTE. The online voting period will end September 20, 2018 11:59:59 PM PDT.

Voting online will end as shown prominently on the Bunnyfest 2018 Photo Contest website as a countdown clock on the last day of the fundraiser. However, additional voting of the top ten entries from each category will continue at Bunnyfest on September 23, 2018 starting at 10 a.m., with the winners announced at Bunnyfest at a time to be determined in the late afternoon.

The photograph with the most votes in a given category at the time announced during Bunnyfest 2018 will win the prize as detailed in the Prizes section. The final vote tally will be combined votes from online, as indicated at the end of the online voting fundraiser, plus any additional votes received during Bunnyfest 2018.

All votes are donations to San Diego House Rabbit Society and are fully tax-deductible as permitted by law. All donors upon request will receive receipts for their contributions.


In the event of a tie, the name of each person with the highest votes will be placed in a "tie-breaker" box and a single name will be randomly selected. This random section of the top winner will take place at Bunnyfest on September 23, 2018.

You are not required to attend Bunnyfest 2018 to win. Winner's names will be announced at Bunnyfest 2018, and you must show a photo ID in order to receive your prize. Winners not present will be notified via e-mail or regular mail and can pick up prizes at San Diego House Rabbit Society, 4807 Mercury Street, Ste. A, San Diego, CA 92111 during regular business hours. Alternatively, prizes can be mailed to the winner (US address only) upon request.

Prizes must be claimed by December 1, 2018. Unclaimed prizes will be repurposed by San Diego House Rabbit Society for future events.


1^st Place - $25 gift card for Amazon
There will be a total of four 1^st Place prizes given, one for each category.


Grand Prize – $25 gift card for Amazon, plus a Cottontail Cottage and Hopper Hideaway.
The Grand Prize winner will receive a 1^st Place prize in a given category, plus an additional $25 gift card for Amazon, a Cottontail Cottage and a Hopper Hideaway. The Grand Prize winner has the highest votes on a single photo submitted, regardless of the category.
