Butler County Humane Society (BCHS), in partnership with Jessica Melaro Photography, is happy to announce its pet calendar for 2025.

Proceeds from the sale of the calendar and photo contest will assist Butler County Humane Society to fund programs, supplies, and operational expenses. BCHS provides the animals in its program with food, shelter, veterinary care, enrichment and resources necessary to find a forever family.

We encourage you to submit your favorite photo of your pets and ask your family and friends to vote for them. Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees for photo entries and votes will help Butler County Humane Society continue their efforts with providing aid, protection, and care for unwanted, abandoned, abused, and lost dogs and cats; to secure suitable homes for adoptable dogs and cats; to restore lost animals to their owners; to encourage the limitation of dog and cat population by spaying and neutering; to operate an adoption service for dogs and cats; to educate the public on the care and responsible treatment of dogs and cats; and to create a quality environment for dogs and cats through the Butler County Humane Society’s presence in the community. The Society will achieve its purpose through programs and services based on sound humane principals and respect for animals. The Butler County Humane Society will operate as a no-kill facility.

• The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entrants that get the most votes.
• The top winner will win the coveted cover photo for the 2025 calendar! 2nd -13th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month.
• The top 13 vote getters will have their pet professionally photographed by Jessica Melaro Photography for the 2025 calendar.

Prizes | Rules 

• Honor your pet or celebrate a gotcha-day or birthday by reserving an empty grid space (before or after the numbered squares) for their photo.
• Choose a favorite photo, a month, and pay.
• Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first come, first served basis; don't delay!
• Each grid space is just $10.
