CalPaws K9 Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to placing unwanted and abandoned dogs of all ages and breeds in Northern California. Our volunteers include experienced animal rescuers from San Francisco Bay and beyond. Over the last 4 years, we have saved over
1,000 dogs and helped countless owners with advice and rehoming assistance.
We provide any needed veterinary care for each dog in our rescue, including spaying/neutering, vaccinations, heartworm tests & preventative intestinal parasite treatment. We also: educate potential owners about the different breeds and special requirements to ensure an educated decision when selecting a dog for your family.
CalPaws K9 Rescue takes in adoptable dogs from area shelters and fosters them in volunteer foster homes throughout Northern California. The foster home provides a transition period between life in the animal shelter and the new, permanent home. The dogs are given the opportunity to learn any needed social skills and receive the much-needed love, shelter, and medical care they deserve.
