Ina J Photography, is happy to announce the annual Canberra Paws Pet calendar contest for the 2023 Calendar supporting ACT Pet Crisis Support.  For the last 2 years we have nearly raised $24k. Last year we raised just over $12,000 for ACT Pet Crisis Support and this year we are aiming to reach a goal of $15,000.

Proceeds from the sale of the calendar and photo contest will assist ACT Pet Crisis Support with helping disadvantaged pet owners keep their pets healthy by contributing towards medical bills that would otherwise result in euthanasia and towards the new mobile Vet Clinic. The mobile, low-cost vet clinic will be available for pensioners and low-income earners to ensure pets can receive veterinary care no matter the financial situation of their family.  All donations go directly towards medical bills helping those pets in need. 

Enter your favourite photo of your pet to win a coveted spot in the 2023 Canberra Paws Calendar, a professional pet photography session with Ina J Photography and artwork credit for photos from your session. Once you enter, remember to share it with your friends and family and ask them to vote. Get the word out and get everyone to vote! 

Please review the Contest Rules carefully for submission guidelines; those that do not follow these rules will not be eligible to win. Fees for photo entries and votes will help ACT Pet Crisis Support continue their efforts with ensuring that all pets in need owned by disadvantaged, low income pet owners in the ACT and local region have access to veterinary care.

The winners of the photo contest will be determined by the top 13 entrants that get the most votes. The grand prize winner (the pet with the highest votes) will win the coveted cover photo for the Canberra Paws 2023 calendar! 2nd - 13th place winners will have their pet featured as a pet of the month in the calendar.

The top 13 pets with the highest votes will have their pet professionally photographed (session valued at $165) by Ina J Photography for the 2023 calendar

The  highest voted pet will win the grand prize of:

• The coveted Calendar cover photo of the Canberra Paws 2023 calendar and an additional page in the calendar (for the month of January of the following year as the calendar covers 13 months - 2023 plus Jan 2024) 
• a professional pet photography session
• an 8 x 10 inch Metal print or a 9 inch circle wood print (with a timber stand) of a photo of the client’s choosing valued at $250
• plus $250 credit towards artwork of photos from their photography session.

The next top 12 entrants with the next highest votes will get a spot in one of the 12 months of the 2023 Canberra Paws Calendar and a $200 credit towards artwork for photos of photos from their photography session.

During the 8 week of the calendar contest there will be mini contests and a prize each week. One pet with the highest number of new votes for a particular week will win a mini contest prize from one of the supporting businesses.  Each week there are prizes to be won with a value from $79 to $150.  Prizes will be announced each week.
Why not honour your pet or celebrate their birthday or gotcha-day by reserving an empty grid space (before or after the dated squares) for their photo. Choose a favourite photo, a month, and pay. Each month has a limited number of squares in each grid and will be filled on a first come, first served basis; so get in early! Each grid space is just $10.

Would you like to feature your business in the Canberra Paws Calendar. This year we are introducing extra pages to promote local Canberra businesses. If you would like your businesses to be featured there are 3 levels depending on how big your feature is in the calendar. We will be taking applications first and once your confirmed, an invoice will be sent to you - 50% of your sponsor fee will be donated to ACT Pet Crisis Support and the reminder will go towards the cost of printing the calendars and designing your feature page. You will be responsible to provide information and graphics for your feature pages.

Bronze - 1/4 page - $50 
Silver 1/2 page - $100
Gold - Full page of calendar  - $200
