Each winner of the four main categories selected by online voting will receive a 12x16 high quality photo print of their winning image along with a $50 gift certificate to the Barn Gallery in New Fairfield.
Our contest Judge, Hudson Valley photographer Maureen Lohan-Bremer, will pick one photograph for the Best in Show image who will receive a $200 gift certificate from Visual Impact in Danbury, Connecticut for custom printing and framing services.
Judge’s Biography:
Maureen Lohan-Bremer
Maureen Lohan-Bremer is a Hudson River Valley photographer with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from SUNY New Paltz. In her work she “strives to create images, both representational and interpretive, that celebrate the beauty of the ordinary and capture a sense of wonder that invites reflection.” Maureen enjoys spending time in nature and has found it to be both restorative and an abundant source of inspiration for her work. Elements of light, color, line, texture, and motion are used to capture and highlight transient moments of beauty. Maureen is grateful to live in a region that is rich in natural beauty and appreciative of the collective efforts to protect and preserve its resources.
Maureen’s work has been included in exhibitions at Woodstock Artists Association and Museum, Emerge Gallery, Art Society of Kingston and Arts Mid-Hudson as well as national online exhibitions and private collections. Her work can be viewed online at
