In their own words, how would your Pyr tell their story?
I was in a pickle for sure. After the Asheville -area hurricane of 2024, my beau Ned and I got lost from our home. We were wandering around hungry and thirsty, and I could feel my eight puppies kicking around in my belly complaining. Luckily the Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue gave us shelter and helped me rear my puppies! I loved them and was a good mom. A few months later a lady came to meet me, with Jabu the parrot and handsome Shepherd named Buddy. They liked me so much and asked if I wanted to join their family and I jumped in the car with a resounding yes. Two weeks later, Buddy got sick and I helped my new mom care for him and say goodbye. I laid long hours with him and was patient and quiet when he was sick. Today, I am loved and safe in my home....I go on two walks each day, the neighborhood kids run to stroke my magnificent hair when they
see me out. I love to snuggle with my mom who showers me with kisses and hugs. Jabu my parrot likes to chirp a lot but I don't mind. I stay cool under the fan and always have fresh water and nutritious food. I have my own door so I can go in the back yard as I please. A deer named Lady visits our back yard and I never bark at her. I get excited for treats and when my mom takes me to the park. When my mom leaves, I lie at the foot of the door the whole time until she comes home. I am safe and loved.
