Martha Reymeyer, CGPR Founder and Shannon Meehan, CGPR President
Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue(CGPR)is a 501c(3) non-profit based out of the Charlotte, NC metro area that works to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome displaced, abandoned, neglected and abused Great Pyrenees in North and South Carolina.
CGPR was established in 1992 in Winston-Salem, NC by Martha Rehmeyer. We moved to our current location in Indian Trail, NC in 2016 when Martha retired and Shannon Meehan assumed presidency for CGPR.
CGPR is a member of the Great Pyrenees Club of America (GPCA).
Our volunteer-based organization advocates for the breed and educates others about the proper care and training of these "gentle giants."
CGPR serves as a resource for Pyr owners throughout the region whether or not they adopted through CGPR.
We sponsor social events and maintain an on-line presence that enables Pyr people to meet and communicate with one another because we believe that celebrating the wonderful dogs who share our lives is an important part of rescue.
We rescue over 100 Pyrs per year unfortunately leaving many on the waiting list…
All CGPR Calendar Contest proceeds support Carolina Great Pyrenees Rescue's care, sheltering, and transportation expenses to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome more Pyrs.
Every $1 raised through this contest will allow CGPR to
SAVE MORE PYRS!
