Since 2001 Life Start has been providing foster care services tailored exclusively to the needs of children with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities and/or complex medical conditions throughout the state of Ohio. Infants and children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and /or Fragile Medical Conditions who have experienced abuse, neglect or abandonment are at times placed in institutional settings when removed from their families due to their extensive care requirements. Life Start Inc. strives to assure that children in foster or adoptive placement have a loving, competent experience that leads to reunification with their biological family or adoption by their forever family. Life Start strives to prevent the institutionalization of children with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Fragile Medical Conditions by providing the home environment these children so desperately need.
