How does your nonprofit organization join the Virtual Regatta?
  1. Register your nonprofit yacht on this site - Regatta Registration 2024
  2. Receive a yacht from a member of the Kiwanis Crew and decorate it:  Be creative, use your logo, a fun descriptive theme, etc. to show your team spirit and creativity!
  3. Take a photo of your yacht and upload your photo - Regatta Registration 2024
  4. A Kiwanis harbormaster will approve your entry and you will be ready to launch!
  5. Once live, you are at the helm - encourage your supporters to vote for your yacht!
How do you "race" your yacht and raise funds in the Virtual Regatta?
  • By getting votes - each vote ($1 per vote) propels your yacht! There is no limit on the number of votes or frequency of votes cast. 100% of proceeds go to your nonprofit organization!
  • The top three yachts will win additional donation prizes!
When do you "race" your yacht online?
  • Voting launches on 07/01/2024 with an exciting finish on 07/31/2024.
  • Entries can continue throughout July – there is no such thing as a late start!
  • Don't get caught dead in the water - encourage and promote voting from all your supporters!
What are the additional donation prizes for online regatta winners?
  • First Place - $1,000 in addition to the funds raised by your votes!
  • Second Place - $500 in addition to the funds raised by your votes!
  • Third Place - $250 in addition to the funds raised by your votes!
Companies and Individuals - become a sponsor!
Sponsorship funds enable a nonprofit to participate in this online fundraiser.  We will pair you with a willing nonprofit or you can suggest one to us!

How do you sponsor a nonprofit in the Virtual Regatta?
  1. Go to the Kiwanis Club of Columbus website to sign up - Kiwanis Regatta
  2. A member of our Kiwanis crew will contact you and confirm your nonprofit pairing.
  3. You will be listed as a sponsor of the nonprofit's yacht! 
  4. Your involvement will enable a nonprofit to raise valuable funds for their organization.
About the Columbus Kiwanis Foundation
The Columbus Kiwanis Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, was established in 1970 as the conduit through which funds are channeled toward charitable activities in the Central Ohio communities. Foundation funds are realized from donations, bequests, and fund-raising projects such as the Columbus Kiwanis Regatta.
