A “Chance” to be a Star

Welcome to the third official Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue GoGo Photo Contest!

Participation for our 2026 Calendar is open! This photo contest is the perfect dual opportunity to show off your adorable little dog while raising funds and awareness for other dogs in need. This photo contest over the next two weeks is leading up to a vibrant calendar that celebrates all of the beautiful things about rescue dogs. Your pet will have the opportunity to be featured in our 2026 A “Chance” to be a Star Calendar, with chances at various prizes going along with the contest. *Please note: this year's calendar will be a bit smaller than our previous calendar, sized at 8.5"x11".

How to Participate

Contest begins at 12:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, September 5, 2025 and ends at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 21, 2025. During this time, you may submit a photo of your dog. After submitting, make sure to share the contest with your online community to get your rescued pet to be the “Star” of the calendar!

Photo submissions and votes ask for a tax-deductible donation that supports the current and future animals in Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue’s care. Please view our official rules tab for more information.

Reserve a Day to Honor Your Pet

Just want a guaranteed spot in the calendar? Reserve a day to honor your pet. This can be for your pet's adoption anniversary, birthday, loved one's birthday, memorial or really any special day! Your pet's photo will appear on the day of your choice. Just choose your favorite photo and then choose the day and pay! First come first served! Once a date has been reserved, it will no longer be available.

🌈 Rainbow Bridge Memorials

At the bottom of each calendar month, you'll find two dedicated Rainbow Bridge Memorial spaces. Each space lovingly holds a photo, along with your beloved pet's name and commemorative dates — a gentle tribute to the ones who remain forever in our hearts.

Prizes

Little Dog Category

The photo with the most votes will be on the cover and the recipient will receive a $100 GIFT CERTIFICATE to AMAZON plus a FREE CALENDAR.
The next 12 pictures with the most votes will be featured in one of the months in the calendar.

Mini contest every week:

The picture with the most votes on Wednesday September 10th and September 17th at 9pm will receive a $25 GIFT CERTIFICATE to AMAZON plus a FREE CALENDAR.

Rules

Contest begins at 12:00 AM (Eastern Time) on Friday, September 5, 2025 and ends at 9:00 PM (Eastern Time) on Sunday, September 21, 2025
Any dog is eligible for inclusion in the calendar. Please submit photos of animals only and do not include any people.
Photos may be entered once.
All photos must be virtually uploaded to the contest website. If you are having any difficulties submitting any photos, please contact us at info@coaldr.org.
Photo entry fee is $10 and votes are $1 each -- Enter and vote as many times as you like!
To be qualified for the cover and calendar months, photos must be:
- Digital photos
- In color and in focus (no blurring or pixilation)
- Submitted in JPEG (jpg) or PNG format
- Able to be cropped to approx. 11x8.5 in size or 3300 pixels x 2550 pixels
- Resolution 250-350 pixels per inch (Photos for smaller insets can be of a lower resolution)

Please note: Our graphic designer will do their best to use the winning photos, however, should a photo not meet the minimum requirements and be unusable, you may be asked to submit a different photo.

Every photo entry must be your own original work and that you own or control all the rights to your entry (i.e. entries). You also authorize to use your name and/or your pet's name in the calendar and related advertising.
Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue secures the right to disqualify a photo for any reasoning due to the content or reproducibility. An opportunity to resubmit an accepted photo will be allowed before the deadline.
Entries are guaranteed a placement in the calendar.
Entry photos become the property of Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund Rescue and may be used for any purpose, including but are not limited to Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund print materials, calendar, website and social media.
Chance of a Lifetime Dachshund is a 501(c)(3). Donations are tax deductible. All donations are non-refundable.
Voters/donors must be legal residents of the United States and be at least 18 years or older.
