Missy was adopted from the shelter in March of 2007

My pet's quirk(s)
Missy is very vocal. Missy doesn't wine or bark but if she needs something she just starts talking to you. We've laughed that one day full sentences would start flowing from her mouth!

Please provide a short bio/story of your pet(s)
In 2007, soon after losing an older rescue and no time for a puppy I found and fell in love with Missy's expressive face and beautiful eyes from a picture on the animal shelter's website. I went out to meet her and the staff look stunned when I asked for her. Missy had been there for 4 months and no one had asked to see her but I was told that the staff loved her!

Missy and I had an immediate connection. When they brought her in she came right to me, quietly started talking to me, put her paws on my knees first then my shoulders and drew closer until her head was on my shoulder. Missy came home with me that day.
Missy was approximately 4 years old at the time. At 13, Missy is slowing down but still loves, walks, car rides, camping and us!
