About Us
About the Coastal Humane Society:
The Coastal Humane Society celebrates the human-animal bond for everyone in the OBX community by helping people who live in Dare and lower Currituck counties care for their pets. Our mission is to ensure that all OBX pets and their people stay together; pets are healthier; and no one is forced to give up or compromise a pet’s care due to financial hardship.
The Coastal Humane Society is an all-volunteer 501(c)3 organization that helps Dare and lower Currituck County pet owners and caretakers pay for low-cost spay and neuter, vaccinations, and emergency medical bills.
We've helped over 12,000 OBX families since 1997. We depend entirely on community donations. A majority of all donations go directly to our services.
About Duke Dog Photography:
I am a local pet photographer based in Kitty Hawk, NC in the incredible Outer Banks. Our furry friends are just as much members of our families as the two-legged members and deserve a place of honor in our homes showing off that love. Nothing would make me happier than helping you capture the spirit that brings you so much joy.
It is my goal to capture images that people will love, that will stir an emotion when someone looks at it. Not everyone, but someone. You. Their person. Their world. Not every emotion, or a specific emotion, but an emotion. Make you feel something. What makes you feel more than those silly, goofy, (sometimes) pain in the rear, stinky, all loving four legged creatures that not only do we invite in our homes, but we allow them to take over our homes, our lives, our hearts. In that spirit, let’s make some beautiful art that honors their love.
