In 2018, Cota was found abandoned in the desert near the Correctional officer training Academy here in Tucson. My husband who worked there, rescued her. She had no collar, tags or microchip. She was dehydrated and extremely ill. Our vet told us she needed to be hospitalized; it would cost at least $3000. We took her to pima animal care (PACC) to get treatment and care. Thankfully, they took her in, nourished her back to health and we officially adopted her.
A year later I had a stroke. Since coming home after the stroke, Cota is always by my side. She’s my protector and my guardian angel. She loves me unconditionally and is my best friend ❤️
