Why is Your Pet "Rescued (or Stray) and Unforgettable"?
A good Samaritan found a badly injured female dog in a parking lot in Georgia and immediately posted her on social media, hoping that someone would take the stray in. As luck would have it, the good Samaritan’s sister, who lived in Quakertown, PA, agreed to take in the dog she soon named Izzy.

After taking Izzy to the veterinarian, it was discovered that she had a dislocated hip, likely the result of being hit by a car, and was peppered with buckshot. But the biggest surprise of all was that in spite of her injuries, she was pregnant with nine puppies and was due in three weeks!

When Althea heard the amazing story, she knew she had to help and agreed to donate food and money toward vet bills. Althea and her family also decided to bring two of the puppies home, just as soon as they were weened. Enter brothers Auggie and Theo! They’ve been with Althea and family for a bit over two years, just having celebrated their birthday in June.

Auggie’s coat is black, with just a splash of white on the chest, where Theo is all white with a patch of black over one eye and ear. When laying down together you might say they resemble a yin and yang, which is also a good descriptor of their personalities. Auggie is the more laid back of the two, while Theo never sits still. Even so, the brothers love to play together, wrestling, and racing through the backyard with Theo jumping over Auggie like a hurdle.

While their bond is undeniable, they also love their humans, even laying on their feet to be as close as possible and snag a few pets. With the addition of the miracle brothers Auggie and Theo, Althea’s family became a pack.
