We are encouraging K-12 schools in the Central & Western region of North Carolina to advocate in their community for votes to become the "Coolest School in Carolina". To secure votes, the participating schools are asked to raise money by engaging their own, unique fundraising initiatives. The school that has the most votes the second the contest ends is crowned "Coolest School in Carolina".
Funds raised help grant wishes.
All money raised goes directly to Make-A-Wish of Central & Western North Carolina to grant life-changing wishes for local children all while placing an emphasis on community involvement among school / youth fundraising! What's cooler than that!?

About Make-A-Wish:
Make-A-Wish Central & Western North Carolina has granted approximately 6,000 wishes since its inception in 1985. We seek to bring every eligible child's wish to life because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey.
About Kids For Wish Kids Program:
This program is an educational and philanthropic initiative from the Make-A-Wish Foundation that empowers students to advocate for the mission of Make-A-Wish and fundraise to help grant wishes for children with critical illnesses. This program also builds school spirit, establishes philanthropic skills and values, and demonstrates the importance of community service.
Rules
Make-A-Wish Central and Western North Carolina serves 51 counties in North Carolina, from Burlington (Alamance County) to the west. Your school must be located in the Central & Western Region of North Carolina. Please use the map below to determine if you are eligible to enter!

A few things to note:
-To protect the Make-A-Wish brand, please be careful when using the Make-A-Wish name and logo.
-Note that “Make-A-Wish” is spelled with a capital “A” and has hyphens between the words. Please also note that our logo may not be altered in font, color, configuration or position.
-The Make-A-Wish mission is to create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. When talking about Make-A-Wish, please do not use words such as “terminally ill” or “dying,” as many wish kids do not have a terminal
condition.
