Is your dog friendly and easily handled by strangers? Are they at ease in loud parade settings, do they know how to pose for ribbon cuttings and other public appearances? Then they may have what it takes to be the next Tomato Pooch!

Enter your pet for a chance to win Copiah Animal Shelter's 2023 Tomato Pooch Pageant! (Entries do not have to be rescue or shelter dogs.) The dog with the most votes wins the Title of Tomato Pooch for one calendar year. The Tomato Pooch is crowned alongside the Tomato Queen at the Tomato Festival the last Saturday in June in Crystal Springs, Mississippi. The Tomato Pooch responsibilities include attending all local events like business ribbon cuttings with The Tomato Queen, and riding alongside her in the Crystal Springs Christmas Parade.

Enter and vote beginning at 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 until 8:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. Entry fee is $25 per pet. Votes are $1/vote, minimum $5. Submit a high quality photo of your pet. Please, only one animal in the photo.

Businesses and organizations can sponsor a pet! (Optional) Please make sure the Sponsor figures prominently in your photo submission and dog bio description.

Is your dog a Copiah Animal Shelter Fan but not Tomato Pooch material? Maybe they are shy. That's ok, enter your DOG and ANY of your PETS or a PERSON as a Superfan! Dogs, cats, horses, bunnies – any pets and yourself or pet-loving significant other and raise money for the animals at Copiah Animal Shelter! The SUPERFAN with the most votes wins a Copiah Animal Shelter T-shirt! Same entry fees and votes as Pooch. Be sure to select the SUPERFAN Category!
