PRIZES:
The dog with the most votes will become the Copiah Animal Shelter Tomato Pooch for the 2022-2023 Term. See guidelines below if your dog isn't Pooch material, but would still like to be in the running for Superfan Title! Or enter ANY of your PETS or PERSON in the Superfan Category! Pooch receives a crown and sash, Superfan owner receives a Copiah Animal Shelter T-shirt.
ENTRY GUIDELINES
- Online Contest begins 8:00:00 AM (Central Time) on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and ends at 8:00:00 PM (Central Time) on Monday, March 14, 2022.
- Upload a high resolution photo of your pet in jpg or png format. If you are sponsored by a local business/organization try to include the Sponsor in the photo. Copiah Animal Shelter has the right to use all photos for marketing purposes.
- Entry Fee: $25. Votes are $1, with a minimum $5 Vote. (You can vote any amount $5 or more. Example: $5, $6, $50, $219, $1,000+!)
- You can enter more than one pet. Separate entry. Separate voting.
- Write a brief Bio/description of your pet telling everyone how awesome they are! Whether it's funny or sentimental, a great bio will help your pet get more votes! Be sure to recognize your Sponsor if you have one. (1,000 character limit)
- On the Entry page, select one of the following in the drop down list:
- I want to be the next Tomato Pooch!
- I want to enter to win a T-shirt and Title of Superfan.
Is your dog a Copiah Animal Shelter Fan, but not Tomato Pooch material? Maybe they are shy. That's ok, enter your dog as a Superfan! Or enter ANY of your PETS (cats, horses, etc.) or PERSON in the SUPERFAN Category! The Superfan with the most votes wins a Copiah Animal Shelter T-shirt!
- People can vote as often as they like and votes will be displayed on the contest web page as they come in. Remember - vote early, vote often, and encourage friends and families to vote! The goal is to find the next Tomato Pooch and raise as much money as possible for Copiah Animal Shelter to continue life-saving work for homeless and unwanted animals.

TOMATO POOCH WINNER RESPONSIBILITIES
The 2022 Tomato Pooch reign is from June 2022 to June 2023. (Unless Covid continues to disrupt scheduling; we'll all be flexible.)
Tomato Pooch duties include attending city and community events that the Crystal Springs, Mississippi Tomato Queen would usually attend like business ribbon cuttings, festivals, riding in the Christmas Parades, attending a Shelter pet adoption event occasionaly, etc.
The winning pet must be easily managed by a non-owner during publicity events or parades. If the winner proves to be leaping, barking, growling or is otherwise unmanageable they will forfeit their title to the runner-up.
If the reigning Pooch cannot serve, the runner up will take over the position.
