Anyone 18 years of age or older may enter the contest. No purchase is required. Entrants must choose from three numbers provided. To enter the contest, make a video of yourself or your duet singing the number. It can be accompanied or unaccompanied by either live music or a recording. One person may enter in two categories, i.e. with a solo and a duet. Start your video by introducing yourselves with your name(s), what town you live in and what you'll be singing. Submit your video with a YouTube link for everyone to view. The top 3 videos with the most votes will move on to the next round!

The Danville Symphony Orchestra reserves the right of final approval on all performances of all artists based on artistic suitability for performance.


The winner will sing the number with the song writers and the band including piano, bass and drums in front of our live audience. There will be a short run through on the day of the concert, Saturday, February 29 at 5pm when the winner and the band will sing and play through the song one or more times. The performance will take place at the beginning of the second half of the concert, after the orchestra performs.


The Danville Symphony Orchestra presents Stars of Country Music, featuring songwriters Marucs Hummon and Matraca Berg. These songwriters are the creators of some of your favorite country tunes including "Bless the Broken Road", "Wild Angels", "Strawberry Wine", "Cowboy Take Me Away" and many more! During this unforgettable evening, we are giving one (or two) local vocalists the opportunity to sing live on stage at the Fischer Theatre with the songwriters and their band. This once in a lifetime opportunity will be alongside writers and musicians from the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame, the "Music City Hit-Makers".
