Wild Shots

We are excited to welcome you to Crag Law Center's first ever Wild Shots Photo Contest!
Crag Law Center's first Wild Shots fundraiser was held in 2007 as an environmental photography auction. Over the years, Wild Shots has grown to be an eclectic annual event that celebrates Crag's work to protect our wild places, communities and climate. Now it's your turn to show your own best wild shot!

Submit your photos, spread the word, and vote on your favorites. Let's celebrate our connection to nature and raise funds for Crag's work protecting our wild places and communities! And make plans to join us for our Livestream Wild Shots celebration on Friday, December 4th. The party starts at 5:30pm, and the photo contest voting closes at 6:30pm. We'll announce the winners around 7pm at the close of the live program.

Winning photos will be featured in a 2021 Crag Calendar.  You can pre-order your calendars here and enjoy Wild Shots all year round!

100% of the proceeds will support Crag's work providing free and low-cost legal services to the people working on the ground to protect our environment.

How it Works:
1) Enter!
Upload your best Wild Shots by midnight on November 30th to win great prizes in 4 different categories (see details below). See PRIZES here.

Entry fee is $10 per photo entry - a 100% tax deductible donation to Crag Law Center!

You are welcome to enter as many photos as you like, but we encourage you to enter only one photo per category. Please see the RULES here.

Wild Landscapes
Whether it's your community garden plot or an epic view of Mt. Hood, share your best wild landscapes.

Wildlife
Do you have a perfect picture of a murder of crows in the park near your home? A pileated woodpecker high up on a tree in the forest? Share your best wildlife photos with us!

Pets in the Wild
Is your house cat really a wildcat that preys on anything moving in the living room jungle? Does your dog excel at snowshoeing? Does your pet rabbit enjoy a nice graze in the backyard garden? Share your pets at their wildest!

Wild Activism
Have you been joining your neighbors and friends in providing mutual aid to those in need? Did you tree-sit during the great Timber Wars? Have you transformed your sidewalk median into a thriving patch of native flowers? Your window into a message board of hope and action? Show us your shots of your own wild activism or wild activism that inspires you.

2) Vote!
Help raise funds for Crag by rallying your friends, families and social network to vote for your photo! Votes are $1 each and are also 100% tax deductible donations to support Crag's environmental work.

Voting will close at 6:30PM on Friday, December 4th. Winners will be announced at the close of our virtual Wild Shots event at 7pm and then shared here and on social media. Tune in to Crag's virtual Wild Shots event starting at 5:30PM! crag.org/wildshots

We will be making a calendar featuring the winning Wild Shots plus our staff's top picks. Celebrate Crag's 20th Anniversary year by pre-ordering your 2021 Wild Shots calendar today.  Proceeds from calendar sales also support Crag!
