Cat's Story or Bio
Josie is our amazing, sweet, funny, talkative girl who passed away in May at 16. Josie was removed from a wall in a vacant house and tossed in a field when she was a kitten to let nature take its course. Thankfully we found her. She was only 5 or 6 weeks old but we believe it traumatized her so much that for her whole life she did not want to be held or touched even though we tried to work with her. She would literally scream when held. But a cat doesn't need to be cuddly or enjoy being touched to be an amazing companion. Josie was our friendliest cat, greeting everyone who visited. She was talkative and had a voice like an old lady who had smoked for 50 years. She would often just talk to herself and always made us laugh. She played spider kitty and would run sideways and jump and then check to make sure you were watching before she continued. She watched TV and loved when there were lions on and would watch intently. She participated when golf was on by batting at the golf balls. She played fetch as good as any dog. Josie was tiny and weighed just over 6 pounds. It is amazing how such a tiny being can leave such a huge hole in your home and heart.
