Cat's Story or Bio
Valor was loved by the CRAN community for his amazing spirit. Sadly he lost his battle to cancer. "The world lost an amazing soul this week. Valor passed away in my arms Monday evening. I’ve experienced a lot of loss in my rescue career but his was one of the hardest. He had progressively been getting worse so I knew it was cancer that we were dealing with and not IBD as we were hoping. We tried chemotherapy for several weeks with little improvement. He dropped another pound and lost his vision completely. I knew I had to let him go but didn’t want to admit it. He got one final check up where the vet confirmed it wasn’t IBD we were dealing with but lymphoma. We spent the afternoon napping and crying on the couch with him in my arms hugging me like a little human. He was such a gentle soul who learned how to walk again after his previous people declawed him. He learned how to love again after humans failed him. He taught me so much about tendons, muscles, braces, physical therapy, IBD, injections, and cancer therapies. He was a patient teacher. He was so sweet with all the kittens he interacted with and was a true grandpa to them. I wish I had known him as a kitten or as a healthy adult cat. He was so sweet and gentle. The world didn’t deserve him. Until we meet again my love. Love, your Mama".
