Critter Crusaders provides and guides lifesaving medical and surgical care for homeless pets throughout Eastern Iowa. We return animals to health and adoptability, all at no cost to shelters and rescues. CCCR is a safety net for animals who have been failed by society. These are pets that have suffered the most and deserve to be healthy and loved. In 2019, CCCR provided over 555 medical appointments, surgeries, advanced diagnostics, rechecks, medications all for a wide variety of illnesses and traumatic injuries. We accepted a new dog or cat patient into our medical system every 3.9 days, all with major medical/surgical issues. CCCR provided free life-saving care to homeless animals from 29 different rescues and shelters across Iowa, many with multiple pets.
As an all-volunteer animal medical non-profit, we receive no federal, state, or local funding. We exist solely on the generosity of our donors and the trust they place in us. CCCR maintains control of all donor funds, paying veterinarian clinics and hospitals directly. A true second chance for Eastern Iowa's homeless, discarded, abused, sick and injured pets. Suffering gives way to health. Homelessness becomes happiness. This is our passion.
In this year of Covid-19, our fundraisers have been canceled, leaving CCCR and the animals that we serve underfunded and vulnerable. We thank you for your financial support and participation in our Summer Fun Photo Contest. For more information on CCCR, call 319-350-8295 or email email@example.com
