We’re so excited to celebrate the incredible stories of rescue, love, and second chances. Please review the following guidelines to ensure your submission is eligible and looks its best in our calendar.
Who Can Enter
All rescue pets are welcome and encouraged! Your pet does not need to be adopted from Darbster Rescue to participate — we celebrate all rescue stories.
Photo Requirements- High-resolution images only (300 DPI recommended)
- Photos must be clear, well-lit, and in focus
- Landscape (horizontal) orientation is strongly preferred for calendar formatting
- Your pet should be the main focus of the image
- Close-up or mid-range shots work best (avoid pets appearing too small in the frame)
- Natural, candid moments are encouraged — showcase personality and connection
People in Photos- Humans may be included, but the pet must remain the focal point
- By submitting, you confirm you have permission from anyone appearing in the photo
Photo RestrictionsThe following will not be accepted:
- Low-resolution, blurry, or dark images
- Photos with text, logos, filters, or watermarks
- Collages or heavily edited images
- Inappropriate or unsafe content
Calendar Notes- Winning photos may be cropped or adjusted to fit calendar design
- Not all parts of the image may appear in the final layout
- Final design, layout, and styling are at the discretion of Darbster Rescue
Permissions & UsageBy submitting a photo, you grant Darbster Rescue permission to use your image and story for:
- The 2027 calendar
- Marketing and promotional materials
- Social media, website, and future campaigns
