on their website! El Coqui is a bilingual community publication that focuses on Rincon and Western Puerto Rico, with followers across the island and united states. Maureen Stanton Schmidt comes to Puerto Rico from San Diego, California, she began drawing at an early age and went on to study art at Bay Path College in Longmedow, MA. Her professional background is in design but now works primarily in charcoal and collage media, recently branched out into watercolor and acrylics.
