Pet’s story/bio
Petey was adopted from DRHS in June of 2020. He came to us during Covid shutdown, just after I'd lost my job of 31 years, our dog Yogi had died, and our youngest was preparing to head to college. Petey was a comfort during some very tough days, to put it mildly. He became a bit of a local celebrity when he walked in the virtual Maquoketa Marathon. Many of my friends keep up with his antics on social media and he made lots of people smile during Covid and continues to entertain them! He is very loved! Petey loves people, hugs, chasing squirrels, going for walks, hunting for hidden treats, sleeping on the couch, and watching everything out the window. Petey dislikes car rides, snow plows, and garbage trucks.
