The search is on for the Dog of the Year! Nominate YOUR dog as the 2023 Dog of the Year. An artist drawing or characterization of the winning dog will be featured on the label of a limited run of Wrightsville Beach Brewery Pale Ale.
The dog who receives the most votes - Dog of the Year- will also win other fabulous prizes. The Dog of the Year Contest is all in support of a great cause! paws4people® raises, trains, and places Assistance Dogs with children, veterans, military dependents, and civilians living with disabilities.
Nominate Your Dog
November 15th-December 31st Submit a favorite photo of your dog and a minimum $10 donation and, in your dog's words, tell us why he or she would make the perfect Dog of the Year. Your $10 donation gives your dog 10 votes right off the bat. If you'd like to donate more, that's fine too; each dollar you donate equals another vote!
Vote For Your Dog
December 1st-December 31st Vote for your dog, your friends, family, or neighbor's dog- you can even vote for a dog you just think looks cute! Each vote cast is just a $1 donation to paws4people. Share your dog's entry with everyone on your social media pages to boost your dog's chances of winning.
Prize Package
At the end of the six-week contest, the top vote-getting dog wins an amazing prize package including: their drawing by Emma Gay on a limited run of
Wrightsville Beach Brewery's Pale Ale beer can; a professional mini photo shoot from
Samantha Ann Photography valued at $400, a $500 cash prize; a $100 gift certificate to Wrightsville Beach Brewery in Wilmington, NC, framed commemorative beer can label artwork, and PNG files of Emma Gay artist's rendering of dog in black and white and in color sent digitally, via email.
The second and third place finalists will also each win prizes including a $50 gift certificate for
Wrightsville Beach Brewery. The Dog of the Year winner and the two finalists will also be recognized at a special Brewery event to be announced. This event may be covered by
WECT (the contest media sponsor) and other members of the pup-parazzi.
