Melo and his 4 brothers and sisters were found at a week old on the side of the road and knocking on death’s door. The pups were in such bad shape that only 3 of the 5 survived. But it was written in the stars for Melo to make his way to us and so he fought until he was strong enough to come home. There is no doubt in my mind that he is my soulmate. We would have found each other in any lifetime, in any shape or form. He is the most sensitive, intuitive, magical being that words can never give justice to. He radiates joy and love in their deepest and purest forms so fiercely that it’s felt by all those around him, even stopping people in their tracks and bringing smiles to strangers on the streets of NYC. You can literally see his soul through his eyes. The connection we have goes beyond words and spans across lifetimes, with one look enough to understand eternity. Not a single day goes by that I don’t revel in how blessed I am to have him in my life. I am so excited for Melo to embark on his next big journey as he becomes a big brother! I can’t wait to see our kids learn from and grow with the most patient, inquisitive, quirky and loving soul I have ever known.
