Leader is a retired racing greyhound ... or Greyt! He raced until he was 5 when a rescue group brought him north to Chicago and to us . Greyts have had no experience in the real world, ie don't even know how to go up and down stairs, so everything is new and wonderful for them. They are called 46-mph couch potatoes because they are completely lazy in retirement and live on tummy rubs and long naps! They are quiet, loving, loyal, elegant, friendly, and extremely comical. Most of them can't sit but they are yoga experts performing downward dog and thread the needle. Leader is missing most of his teeth and his smile is endearing. He puts up with toddlers trying to play catch with him and other dogs barking in his face by looking the other way. He makes friends with everyone he meets and is a walking advertisement for why adopting a rescued Greyt is one of the most rewarding gifts you can give yourself and a beautiful dog who needs a loving home.
