After our last fella passed away we decided not to wait, as we had previously done, but to get another dog quickly. Our house has always had a canine personality and we missed having soul to spoil. We have always rescued dogs and we wanted to continue this practice. We went to every local pound as well as looking online for dogs from the South.
While calling around to breeders we were asking for an adult dog, we heard about Gunner. He was currently working as a stud, but as his fertility had dropped he had been relegated from being a house dog to being kept in a cage in a yard.
When we went to meet him the Breeder brought out an 8-week old Puppy and tried to sell us on his cuteness, having a 9-year-old, I was thought we were doomed as she would start asking for the Puppy. But the minute Gunner was brought out it was obvious he was a stunner and needed TLC from a good family.
Gunner has been with us for 2 years now, he enjoys walks on the beach, meeting new girls to play with, but has abstained from any more breeding responsibilities. He is an excellent Goalkeeper and his favourite show is "Dogs with Jobs". One day he wants to invent an indestructible squeaky dog ball, as he can destroy any current balls within minutes.
