The days are getting longer, and the sunshine is out! There couldn't be a better time to play and enjoy some adventures. This is true for our pets too! We want to see what adventures your pets have been up to this summer. It might be a long nap in the sun, enjoying a family hike in the beautiful gorge, or taking a splash in the local river or at the coast. Whichever adventure your pet has had this summer, we want to see it!

Enter your favorite pet photo in the DoveLewis 2023 Summer Photo Contest: Summer Adventure Awaits. In addition to great prizes for the winners of the contest, and social media recognition, your participation in the photo contest helps raise funds for the DoveLewis canine and feline blood bank.

Did you know? DoveLewis has one of the largest community-based blood banks in the United States. The blood bank runs solely on the support of donations.

Cats and dogs, just like humans, can need blood transfusions during an emergency. Our volunteer team of dogs and cats donate enough blood for 700+ transfusions every year at our hospital and other clinics. The need is greater than ever.

Blood Bank Program Director Kelsey says: "Our thriving blood bank is able to provide necessary blood products to pets at many hospitals in the Portland area and beyond. This wouldn't be possible without our amazing team of blood donors and donations like yours!"
